The National Certification Corporation (NCC) is the organization that oversees devices imported into the United States, and its website provides information about upcoming products from time to time. The latest discovery is HTC’s TWS earphones with a 480mAh battery and a USB-C charging port.
According to the list, wireless earphones are sometimes called HTC TWS1. It was also revealed that the entire set included a charging case with a 400mAh power cell with a 40mAh battery in each bud. Looking at the actual image, there are some touch controls on the outside and there is an LED light, but this could also be a small hole for the outside microphone.
HTC clearly prepares the TWS1 in two colors, white and black, but I’m not sure it can support wireless charging. However, because the battery isn’t that big, the earphones can be charged from 0% to 100% in about an hour and an hour and a half at a rate of 5W.
What do you think? Is HTC really planning to launch a great product, or is it another attempt for the company to float? Please let us know in the comments.
