In-flight connectivity packs launched by Jio come in the price of Rs 499, Rs 699, and Rs 999 and get 1-day validity. The 499 pack offers 250 MB data, 100 minutes of outgoing voice calls, and 100 SMS. However, 500 MB data is available in Rs 699 pack and 1 GB data is available in Rs 999 pack. Both packs offer 100 minutes of voice calls and 100 SMSs, similar to the base pack.
Jio does not allow incoming calls on the in-flight connectivity pack, although users will receive SMS and are free. In addition, the telecom company has partnered with 22 airlines to provide sufficient coverage on a large scale to customers taking advantage of the new packs. With in-flight connectivity packs, Jio has made some changes to the international roaming pack of Rs 1,101 and Rs 1,201. The company has reduced the IR usage of these packs to Rs 933.05 and Rs 1,017.80 respectively. Earlier, IR usage of Rs 1,211 was given in Rs 1,101 pack, while Rs 1,321 was used in Rs 1,201 pack. The validity of the international roaming pack will be 28 days as before.
Jio has also launched international roaming value packs of Rs 1,102 and Rs 1,202, which have a validity of 28 days. Wi-Fi calling support is also available in these. The Rs 1,102 pack is applicable to more than 100 countries, while the Rs 1,202 pack offers cellular connectivity in 170 countries. Both packs will have to pay Rs 1 for Wi-Fi incoming calls and customers can make Wi-Fi voice calls in India at the rate of Rs 1 per minute.
If you make a video call via Wi-Fi on any of the new international roaming value packs, you will be charged Rs 1 per minute along with a data cut according to your existing base plan. Video calling will be applicable only for Jio number. In addition, the 1,202 pack for iPhone users will only support Wi-Fi calling in limited countries.
