Jio’s single sign-in system will be Jio SecureID, currently testing – TechWeu

Reliance Jio has taken a new step towards security, named Jio SecureID. Actually, the company is expanding into the digital business, the company has started this new service in view of the increasing cases of hacking. As the name suggests, the company’s new service is designed for digital authentication and authorization systems, through which users can log in to apps and websites using single identity. This process sounds similar to “Sign in with Apple” and “Google’s sign-in”. However, Jio has gone a step further and added Aadhaar verification to the process. Currently, Jio’s service is under testing phase, which has been provided only to the employees of Reliance Group. But soon it will be released to users as well.Available on jio site Information According to Jio SecureID, a high level of secure patent technology is used, in which only the user’s password and PIN are not saved. The company claims that this system cannot be hacked. There are two types of pins used, one four digit pin and the other six digit pin. Six digit pins are used for high value transactions.

On the FAQ page of the Jio site Showing The new system is initially implemented on the Reliance Group Employee Self Service “ESS” portal. However, the plan is to bring it to all Reliance apps and portals in the coming days. Currently, the service is available in beta testing for Reliance employees. However, the page also states that this service can be used on any app and website in the future.

How does Jio SecureID work?

Jio SecureID is available for beta testing on Android and iOS apps. After the user downloads the app, they are asked their mobile number so that they can create their JioID account. This number can be from Jio network or any other telecom service, which means that this service is not only made for Jio users, anyone can use it.

After entering the number in Jio SecureID App, you will have OTP, after which you will be asked to scan your Aadhaar card from both the front and back. Only after capturing the details of the Aadhaar card with the mobile number will you be able to sign-up on the unique login ID. After this, you will have to record a 20-second video while reading the message shown on the screen.

Scope of Jio SecureID

Reliance Jio also has various services apart from the telecom network, which is offered under the Jio platform. Jio SecureID can be used on all these platforms. Recently the company has launched Grocery Delivery Service under JioMart. Also, JioMeet service has been introduced for video conferencing. Apart from this, the company also has its own music streaming service JioSaavn. It is likely that Jio SecureID Integration Service will be implemented on all these platforms.

Apart from Jio’s own products and service, the company has investors like Facebook who can use this Jio SecureID service.
