Last week, Xiaomi announced three new members of the Redmi Note 9 line: Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 9 4G. This is even more confusing in understanding the lineup (there are many other older, non-5G Redmi Note 9 models as well).
The new phone went on sale in China today and has sold over 300,000 units in just a few hours. The numbers were aggregated until 12:00 pm local time, after which Weibo’s official Redmi account posted the image shown below to celebrate the good news.
The Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G are all attractive devices at amazing prices, but perhaps the Note 9 Pro 5G stands out most, with a 120 Hz screen, 108 MP camera, and The price starts at RMB 1,599 (current exchange rate is about $ 243 or € 201).
So it’s not so surprising that it (and its siblings) sell this well. Outside of China, you can get the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G with a main camera sensor that is basically different from the Mi 10T Lite 5G, but the Redmi Note 94G is basically a rebranded Poco M3. At least in the rest of the world, there is no equivalent to the Redmi Note 95G with the Dimensity 800U.
