Apple’s iPhone 12 mini managed to fall into the hands of Romanian tech journalist George Buhnici, even though it was a full week away from the pre-order. He then posted a detailed hands-on video of the device, offering the first live look and comparing it to the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro to further revive the mini’s small stature.
The 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.4 mm, 135-gram mini goes against mainstream and finally offers a one-handed iPhone with Apple’s latest chipset. You can see the Mini and its 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED compared to the 12, 12 Pro, and last year’s 11 Pro Max. All of this is a check of how small the new phone is actually. The host also points out how much the 12 mini fits in your pocket and sees the same back and front cams as a regular iPhone 12.

Compared to another recent compact iPhone, the SE2020, it’s 7mm shorter and 3mm narrower. It’s also the same size as the rest of the iPhone 12 series, so the notch looks slightly larger, but it’s also the iPhone with the highest number of pixels per inch at 476 PPI so far.
