Samsung is preparing to launch yet another pair of true wireless earphones under the Galaxy Bad brand, perhaps with the Galaxy S21 family in January. Following the original Galaxy Buds, Buds +, and Buds Live, you’ll get Buds Pro.
This name, along with model number SM-R190, was confirmed by the Indonesian Telecommunications Certificate Authority. The new earphones are also certified by China’s 3C, which has a 472 mAh battery in its case, and South Korea’s NRRA.
All of these certifications mean that this product is almost ready for launch. Of course, it’s also perfect for the rumored mid-January S21 announcement event. Based on the name, you wouldn’t be surprised if the Galaxy Buds Pro comes with active noise canceling. It is rapidly becoming a pandemic in the TWS market.
Interestingly, so far there are rumors that the Galaxy Buds Beyond will arrive with the S21 family. So perhaps “Beyond” was just a codename or a marketing name that was just changed. Alternatively, Samsung may have another TWS product called the Galaxy Buds Beyond. I’m a little confused at this point.
