The LG Velvet 5G for T-Mobile is LG first smartphone to have Dimensity chipset outside the of China. Especially, it takes advantage of the Dimensity 1000C, a brand name-new chip that is branded as a component of the flagship 1000-series. Does it have the effectiveness to match that branding, even though?
The first Geekbench result can start to reply to that problem by displaying what the CPU is capable of. It has 4 Cortex-A77 cores, which are unique to the 1000 chips when the 800 and 700 designs use A76.
ARM promises that the A77 is 20% more quickly than the A76 w.r.t clock speed. Which is 2.0 GHz in the aspect of the Dimensity 1000C, matching the clock speed of the A76 in the Dimensity 800. For comparison, the vanilla 1000 runs its A77 cores at 2.6 GHz, the lower binned 1000L at 2.2 GHz.
If we examine it to the Honor X10 Max result we see only an 11% increase in single core performance. The improve in multi-main effectiveness is nearer to 8%.
Of course, the Dimensity 1000C has an excess ace up its sleeve – the Mali-G57 GPU has a more main in contrast to the 800 chip, theoretically giving it 25% more functionality (additional or much less, based on the clock speed). Note that the other Dimensity 1000 chips use a lot more effective G77 graphics core, nonetheless.
Anyway, T-Mobile’s LG Velvet will arrive with 6 GB of RAM as typical, which is par for the system in the Velvet lineup.
The mobile phone will be offered tomorrow (you will get it on LG.com), the complete selling price is $588 but you can split that down into 24 regular installments of $24.50.
