The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has banned the special plans of Airtel and Vodafone’s Idea, which provide more and faster internet to high paying customers. Actually, this step of TRAI has been taken amid questions that it was said that the company is reducing the services of those customers who are not part of this plan under these special plans. If sources are to be believed, TRAI has ordered both telecom companies to discontinue these special plans for an interim period.
TRAI Questioned to ISP’s
TRAI has questioned telecom companies Airtel and Vodafone’s ideas about their plans, which promise to provide high-speed data with higher payments to customers. TRAI has questioned whether customers taking this plan are given more preference than other customers? Are high-speed data provided to these particular customers by degrading the network of common customers? Apart from this, TRAI has also questioned the telecom companies how they are protecting the interests of other common customers.
Explain, TRAI has given 7 days’ time to the telecom companies to respond.
The response of the telecom companies has also come to light after this decision of TRAI. Talking about this, an Airtel spokesperson said, “We are excited to provide the best network and service to all our customers.” The Airtel spokesperson said that along with that the company will serve for post-paid customers. And wants to increase accountability.
