YouTube has begun rolling out a new feature, Shorts. This is a short video platform shot in portrait orientation and is an obvious attempt to curb the growing influence of TikTok and its online. People in the United States are beginning to receive this feature and will soon be expanding globally.
Currently, Shorts is still in beta, so not all American users will get it after updating the application. The company may be doing A / B testing, but given the fact that YouTube has been working on shorts for the past 12 months, a stable version of this feature should be right there.
YouTube shorts were played more than 3.5 billion times in the early days of beta, so it’s no wonder that shorts are being delivered to more and more users. For comparison, TikTok has reached 1 billion monthly active users and could be the first platform to reach milestones in such a short period of time.
A link to APKMirror is included for those who are willing to sideload the latest version, but this feature also requires a server-side switch, but there is no guarantee that you will get it.
