As expected, Xiaomi subsidiary Huami unveiled its most current smartwatch entry with the new ruggedized sporting activities-targeted Amazfit Ares. It arrives with monitoring for 70 sports modes, effectiveness analysis by way of the Firstbeat platform, GPS and coronary heart rate monitoring.

The watch is built around a square 1.28-inch reflective color touch screen with a 176 x 176 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Alternatively, it’s rated at up to 90 days in standby with Bluetooth and heart fee monitoring turned off. Charging is done via a proprietary magnetic stand included in the retail packaging.

The Amazfit Ares will go for CNY 499 ($70/INR 5,300) and will be available in black and military eco-friendly shades. It’s already up for pre-sale in China when official income get started on June 1.
