The XR21 is expected to offer a 6.49-inch LCD with a FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz, providing an immersive visual experience. The panel will also come with a robust Gorilla Glass Victus protection layer, ensuring the device is well-protected. Moreover, it will feature a front-facing 16MP camera that captures stunning selfies.

On the back, the XR21 will have a dual-camera setup, with a 64MP primary camera equipped with an Omnivision sensor that captures detailed and sharp images. Additionally, an 8MP ultrawide sensor will provide a broader perspective, enabling users to capture a wider scene. Under the hood, the device will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset, which boasts impressive performance and will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

To cater to users who demand a durable phone, the Nokia XR21 will provide IP68-rated protection from water and dust. Additionally, the device will boast a powerful 4,800mAh battery that can be charged rapidly with 33W charging support, making it an ideal choice for those on the go. Its sturdy design will also make it a bit heavier, weighing in at 235 grams.

One of the most interesting aspects of the XR21 is its operating system. Despite the imminent release of Android 13, the device is expected to launch with Android 12. However, Nokia has confirmed that they will provide OS updates for the device until May 2026, along with security patches for an additional year after that. This extended support timeline ensures that users can continue to enjoy the device’s features and security for years to come.

Moreover, the XR21 will feature the latest connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, which will provide fast and reliable data transfer. The device will also come with NFC and a headset jack, catering to users’ different needs.
