Four new Snapdragon 888 phones in development, leaked details-Techweu

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 888, and Xiaomi enjoys a short monopoly period. But as a leak star it will soon end Digital chat station I’m reporting some more along the way.

The first is iQOO7, which will be officially announced on January 11th. Next is the vivo X60 Pro +, which follows the launch of the X60 and X60 Pro, both using Exynos 1080. DCS These will be three 888-equipped phones that will go on sale in China in January (Mi 11 flash sale is scheduled for January 1st).

Next is Realme Koi (codename Race), where company executives have officially confirmed the 888 chip, but haven’t yet announced the release date. DCS Add another phone to the list-Redmi “K11” (codename Haydn). This is probably the Redmi K40 Pro and will be one of the most affordable Snapdragon 888 phones. But 888’s supremacy doesn’t last forever – there’s a plus version along the way.

The Snapdragon 888+ will be tentatively released later next year, Leakster said, adding that Qualcomm has limited the vanilla chipset to 2.84GH.

This is to prevent manufacturers from trying to overclock the chip. The 888+ almost certainly has higher frequencies on both the CPU and GPU. For example, 865+ resulted in a 10% increase in both. Clock boosting is fairly easy as the 888 has returned to its original 865 clock speed (at least for the CPU).

??

All that performance gain comes from the new core architecture. Qualcomm hasn’t officially released the GPU clock, so it’s hard to tell how much boost is overclocked and how much the architecture has improved.
