Motorola’s ever-growing roster of smartphones is set to grow further next year, and one of the devices we expect to hit the streets is clearly the Moto G Play (2021). Aside from the nasty name, we’re assuming this is the successor to the Moto G9 Play launched earlier this year. However, I’m not sure why Motorola can’t count above 9.
Anyway, Moto G Play (2021) was discovered on the Google Play Console. Listed there is the Snapdragon 460 chipset. This is confusing because its predecessor used the more powerful Snapdragon 662.
This phone has an HD + touch screen (720×1600 resolution) and runs Android 10 out of the box. This is unfortunate given that it will be available next year. You can expect to see 3GB of RAM on at least one model, but we can offer even more options.

As you can see from the image above, there is a water drop notch that hides the selfie camera while the power and volume keys are on the far right. The power button is not recessed, so the fingerprint sensor is not housed. That is, it’s on the back, just like in G9 Play.
I don’t know exactly when the Moto G Play (2021) will be officially released, but in the fierce world of midrangers, new releases every few months are standard, so you have to wait that long for this call. I don’t think it will happen.
