It’s been a few months since Oppo announced the A15 budget cell phone. Enough time for the Chinese giant to be almost ready with his brother at A15.
The latter device model has been found on Malaysia’s SIRIM certified website, Singapore’s IMDA and Europe’s EEC site, suggesting an imminent global release. The upcoming phone leaked banner gives a glimpse of its overall design and some key specifications.

It’s not surprising that the A15 looks identical to its vanilla A15 brothers. The advertising poster specifically mentions a 6.52-inch HD + display. This is a perfect match for the IPS LCD, Oppo A15’s 720×1600 pixel panel. Obviously, two very similar devices. The only obvious difference revealed by the poster is the A15’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage configuration. This is higher than the 2GB or 3GB of memory and 32GB of storage that a regular A15 offers.
Therefore, you can expect an upgrade to a more powerful chipset. Probably another MediaTek Helio unit that is better than the P35. However, the poster does not mention that. Still, that’s a relatively safe assumption. It is also possible that the A15 will borrow the camera setup directly from the vanilla model. The vanilla model has a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth module, and a 5MP selfie snapper housed in a waterdrop notch. A 4,230mAh battery pack may also be carried over.
The price and availability of the Oppo A15 haven’t been announced yet, but we’re fully expecting it to be similar in price to the vanilla variation. The latter was launched at MSRP for Rs 10,990 ($ 150). According to the poster, Indian buyers can also enjoy 5% cashback by using one of the few bank cards mentioned.
