Oppo announced the Reno 54G and 5G last December. The company will soon follow up with a special edition called Reno 5 Marvel Edition, certified by NBTC in Thailand.
Thai regulators haven’t elaborated on the Reno 5 Marvel Edition spec, but have revealed that smartphones don’t support 5G networks. The list also includes the same Reno5 Marvel Edition model code (CPH2159) as the Reno5 4G, suggesting that the Reno5 Marvel Edition is based on the Reno5 4G.
In short, the Oppo Reno5 Marvel Edition has a Snapdragon 720G SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Smartphones need to launch Android 11-based ColorOS 11 like the Reno 54G, but will also come with Marvel-themed wallpapers and icons.
Other expected specifications for the Reno5 Marvel Edition include a 6.43-inch 90Hz FullHD + AMOLED screen with a fingerprint reader underneath, a 44MP selfie camera, a 64MP quad camera, and a 4,310mAh battery with a 50W charge.
There’s no word from Oppo about the Reno5 Marvel Edition yet, but we need to hear more about it in the coming days.
