Vivo recently officially confirmed that the next OriginOS will replace FuntouchOS. However, details have not been disclosed at this time. Now an intriguing leak sheds light on it.
He states that Vivo’s future Origin OS will provide a switch for stocking Android on the fly. At the very least, we think that’s what machine translation wanted to convey. Another possibility is that Origin OS is a completely different OS built from scratch and offers a fast switch to Android OS, which seems very unlikely.

However, the first possibility seems to match the current state of Vivo’s Funtouch OS. I was surprised to see an almost in-stock Android experience with Vivo’s new V20, which is being sold to run Funtouch OS 11. So, in a way, Funtouch OS 11 can be a stepping stone to Origin OS.
Either way, it sounds like an interesting concept, and we want to learn about it sooner.
