Xiaomi dominates the Indian market, Realme reached number five-Techweu

Xiaomi continues to dominate the Indian smartphone market. Like last year, this year too, India is the No.1 brand in terms of market share. Xiaomi occupied 30.90 percent of the Indian market in the second quarter of 2020. The company had a market share of 31.3 percent in the second quarter last year. The company shipped more than 5.3 million i.e. more than 53 lakh smartphones. However, this figure was almost double its previous year. Last year, the company shipped 10.3 million or more than one crore smartphone.

Samsung at number three
Vivo occupied the second position in the Indian market with shipments of 3.7 million smartphones. Vivo’s market share in the second quarter stood at 21.30. Samsung stood at number three with 16.8 percent market share. Samsung shipped 2.9 million or 2.9 million smartphones in the second quarter. Oppo ranked fourth in this list. The company shipped 2.2 million smartphones. At the same time, the company succeeded in capturing a 12.90 percent market share. The figure was 9.2 percent for OPPO last year.
