Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is equipped with launch, 1.1 inch display and remote control camera feature – TechWeu

Xiaomi’s next generation fitness tracker band Mi Band 5 has been launched. There is a standard version of the new fitness band launched in China and an NFC version. There will be eight color variants of their strap. Mi Band 5 has a 1.1-inch color AMOLED display. Remember that Me Band 4 was launched in the market with a 0.95-inch screen. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Band 5 battery can support up to 14 days in a single charge. The band is also water resistant, up to 50 meters. It comes with the new magnetic charging dock. Mi Band 5 outside China will be known as Mi Smart Band 5.

Mi Band 5 price

In Chinese market Me band 5 Standard versions of CNY 189 (around Rs 2,000) and NFC variants will be sold for CNY 229 (around Rs 2,500). The smart band comes with Black, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple, Yellow and Green color straps.

Xiaomi has not given any information regarding the launch of Mi Band 5 in India yet.

Mi Band 5 specifications

As we told you earlier, the Mi Band 5 has a 1.1-inch color amoled display. It has 100 new animated watch faces. The fitness track now has 11 sports modes. It comes with a Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) Activity Index that helps users better understand and track fitness activity. The Mi Band 5 comes with an improved sleep monitoring system to track users’ sleep patterns. Xiaomi claims that the accuracy of sleep monitoring is 40 percent better than before.

Heart rate sensor has been given in Me Band 5. It has a separate health mode for women. Users will get social media notifications, music control, incoming calls, text and weather updates in the fitness band. Apart from this, new remote control camera feature has come which helps users to take pictures from smartphone. The Smart Band comes with a built in microphone which will allow voice commands.

The latest Mi Band supports magnetic charging. With this help, users will be able to charge their device without removing the strap. Xiaomi claims that the NFC variant of the band gives 14 days of battery life in a single charge and the standard version lasts for 20 days.
