Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, has announced that he will be leaving the company. Sarvikas has been with Nokia and HMD for 15 years and was appointed Vice President of North American Business for HMD in June 2020, responsible for building relationships with careers and ecosystem partners and expanding Nokia’s product lineup.
Sarvikas hasn’t yet revealed plans for the future, and it’s unclear if he will attend the HMD’s April 8 event and introduce another new Nokia smartphone before leaving the company.
HMD will announce three new Nokia smartphones (G10, X10, and X20) at the event on April 8th. The HMD hasn’t revealed anything about these phones yet, but there are rumours that it has an Helio P22 SoC steered by the G10 and will sell for 140 euros.
Meanwhile, the X10 and X20 are powered by the Snapdragon 480 chip, the latter of which was also discovered last week on Geekbench with 6GB of RAM.
We hope that more information about these smartphones will be released before they are scheduled to be announced on April 8.
