1. Log on to the IRCTC website. Use the login ID and password.
2. Go to My Account on the new website of IRCTC. Go to the My Transactions option in mouse over here. After this, select the option ‘Booked Ticket History’.

3. After that select the ticket in which to change the boarding point. Below you will see different options, such as PNR status, cancel ticket and others. There is also an option of change the boarding point. Click on it.
4. After this, a pop window will open. Which will name the station from which you can choose your new boarding point? This is where you change your boarding point.

Important things related to changing the boarding stations on the IRCTC website …

1. It is possible to change the boarding station 24 hours before the scheduled opening time of the train.
2. According to the website of IRCTC, If the passenger changes the boarding station once, then he will have no right to travel on that ticket from the earlier boarding point.
3. If the passenger is found traveling from the old boarding station itself, then they will have to pay a fine for the journey between that station and the new boarding point.
4. According to IRCTC rules, change of boarding station is possible only once. This change is not possible in currently booked tickets.
