Intel first announced a discrete GPU for small businesses at CES 2020, and now the desktop version is finally shipping. However, GPUs are not available to the average consumer, and instead they ship GPUs to manufacturers and deploy pre-built systems.

Formerly known as the DG1, the Iris Xe is based on the Tiger Lake integrated GPU platform and, surprisingly, has actually lower specs than the integrated mobile version found on laptops. It has 80 execution units, 4GB of LPDDR4X memory and HDR support.
As you’ve probably already guessed, GPUs aren’t for enthusiasts and gamers. Its target is the large desktop market. Intel’s game-oriented GPU is not yet available.
