Redmi Note 10 devices to be discontinued, Here’s why-Techweu

Xiaomi Indonesia has announced that it has stopped manufacturing Redmi Note 10 smartphones and has urged consumers to buy other devices from the same lineup. According to CNBC International’s local division, this is due to a shortage of chipsets, and the exact same problem will soon reach other markets.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 is a vanilla variant of the same name series. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 678 chipset and a 48MP camera. One of its more striking specifications was a 5,000 mAh battery and a 33W fast charge of bright OLED, which was enough for users to buy all the stock available in Indonesia.

Xiaomi Indonesia’s official social media channel encourages users to buy Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10S, and Redmi Note 10 5G, but I’m not sure if they’re sold out either. Chipset makers are having trouble supplying all the demand, and the current resurgence of COVID-19 makes the situation even more problematic.

Some factories have been forced to operate with limited personnel due to rising infection rates, and some factories in Vietnam have been completely closed due to a shortage of human resources.
