These are the best laptops available for less than Rs 25,000 – TechWeu

Like smartphones, laptops have become ubiquitous today because we depend on them for most of our work. Gone are the days when people used to buy assembled desktops. Buying a budget laptop is easier than assembling the desktop, as well as being economical. The advantages are very clear. Laptops do not take up much space, so you do not need to make room for laptops only in your living room or bedroom. Another is that you can place the laptop in a backpack and carry it anywhere. Before buying a laptop you should look at your personal needs and think about what purpose you are buying a new laptop and how you will use it.

Why buy a laptop for less than Rs 25,000?

Not everyone needs razor-thin laptops or laptops to play high-end PC games. Sometimes a basic laptop is required to run Skype calls, Word, Excel, or other office applications or to watch movies or TV shows. Students staying in hostels require a basic computer for their assignments and projects for which a budget laptop should suffice.

Sometimes you need another computer at home for the basic tasks of your children and any other family member. Today’s budget laptops are often good enough for basic photo editing, which you cannot always easily do on your phone or tablet.

Best Laptops available for less than Rs 25,000

Acer Aspire 3 (A315-32)

Out of all the laptops we have tested for less than Rs 25,000, we found that Acer Aspire 3 (A315-32) Gets better performance and best price. It is quite thin which we liked. The plastic body is well built, with not much flexibility in the lid or keyboard area. The lid can be bent up to 180 degrees so that you can work comfortably.

It is one of the few laptops in this segment in which the RAM and hard drive can be accessed through the lower part for easy upgrade. The laptop will get Windows 10 pre-installed, as well as some handy apps that help keep drivers and software up to date. The laptop is equipped with Intel Pentium Silver N5000 quad-core CPU, 4GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.

In tests such as file compression and video encoding, Aspire 3 (A315-32) took the least time compared to other laptops we tested. Battery life is also good, once charged you will be able to do more work of your day.

Aspire 3 (A315-32) is not a perfect laptop and the reason behind it is that Acer has given so much specification in this price segment but the display and speakers have been compromised a bit. The viewing angle is also not the best and brightness could have been better. The stereo speakers are on the lower side and the sound does not sound good when it comes to loud sound.

It is one of the heaviest laptops we have tested. Overall, if you want a big screen and low resolution is not a problem for you, then Aspire 3 (A315-32) can be a great option for you for Rs 19,990.

iBall CompBook Netizen 4G

We have tested many iBall laptops in the last few years but the company launched sometime back CompBook Netizen 4G Is a unique offering, especially given its price. This laptop comes with a 4G SIM slot with the help of which you can stay connected to the Internet at all times.

This feature can prove useful for those who travel frequently and do not want to be disturbed by installing 4G dongles or tethering from phones. Battery life is very good and on light workload, we did all day’s work on it easily. CompBook Netizen has a full-HD display, due to which photos and text are sharpened on the 14-inch panel.

Inbuilt storage is 64 GB which is better. CompBook Netizen 4G has a compartment at the bottom where you can install a 2.5 inch SSD or hard drive. Some of the things where it lags behind other counter-devices are its CPU power and its build quality.

This laptop used the Intel Celeron N3350 processor which is quite old. Its single and multi-core performance is also not good, due to this it takes more time for file compression and video encoding. The plastic body does not look very strong nor does it give a premium look. This laptop is available in India for Rs 14,990. Asus offers better-looking laptops in this range.

In this case, if you are using a USB device with a plug that is wider than normal, it can block the accompanying port.

You get a DVD drive in this model, which proves useful when you need to backup. This laptop is a bit heavy. The plastic and color scheme give it a slightly cheaper look. Performance is also slow, viewing angles of HD displays are also weak. Its battery life is also not good and there are many better options available around 18,990.

Asus E203N

This laptop of Asus brand is now 19,990 rupees Is available in It uses the old Intel Celeron N3350 CPU, but its compact size may be liked by most. It is thin and light as well as it has a USB Type-C port which is not seen in this segment. The 11.6-inch display is not very large, but at least HD resolution is not too low in this size.

The biggest problem is laptop storage. Just 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 32 GB eMMC flash memory is not enough for Windows and your application. Windows boot is fast but we could not see many things running during the test because the storage was causing problems. If you are going to use web-based apps or you do most of your work on the browser then this should not be a big problem for you. Asus E203N has a microSD card slot with the help of which you can increase the storage when needed.
